Overview[]

Tod Branston is a character in Pantsahat's videos. He is an original character and another break out character who was prominent during the Lego Saga and even went on to appear early in the Hippo Saga. He is described as a "Reality TV Star" in the video description for "LEGO House Flipping (Stop Motion)".

Tod Branston is not to be confused with Ace Chaseman, Clark, or Swat guy despite looking similar.

Personality[]

Tod Branston is a sleazy and lazy person who has admitted to mooching off his own family and friends. He tries to come across as a know-it-all or a professional, but in reality he doesn't know what he's doing. He seems to be willing to do anything for money, albeit as long as it's low effort with a high reward. He seems to be a bit narcissistic, as he has a portrait of himself within his own living room.

He got lazier as his appearances went on. While he was ripped when he worked as an escort, his body shape in later videos imply he stopped working out. He got lazy to the point where he couldn't even make the effort to reach all the way to grab a hot dog that was right next to him on the couch, so he left it there untouched.

He often doesn't care about what he's doing either, such as when he was a celebrity judge on Gordon Ramsey's cooking show, but he chose to order five extra large pizzas (and not share) instead of eating any of the food cooked by the contestants. He's carefree to the point of carelessness, such as casually driving without bothering to watch the road before crashing into a tree or seeing and then ignoring a ninja who was there to assassinate him.

While lazy, he also seems extremely impulsive to the point where he will do extreme things without thinking it over, such as attaching a rocket to a skateboard or tearing apart furniture and appliances because they don't look good aesthetically. He even poured gasoline down in a basement and lit it on fire in an attempt to kill a ghost (despite the ghost already showing it couldn't be killed).

He seems to suffer from claustrophobia. He hates small places to the point where he ended up getting angry and trashing his tiny house and even ended up burning it down to the ground.

History[]

When we first see Tod, he's trying to film a reality tv show focused on him living in a tiny house. He narrates his life story to the camera crew (and by extent, the audience) explaining that he used to be a moocher, and eventually had to make a living being a gigolo, in which he used the money he made to buy his tiny house.

Over the course of filming, he gets increasingly anxious; his hatred of small places eventually gets the best of him and prompts him to burn down his tiny house (but forgetting the film crew staff were still inside), leading to his arrest.

The second time we see him (albeit briefly) he appears to be the one acting as Suave Bad Guy's getaway driver, helping him escape before a bomb within a suitcase detonates. (We also see him on a billboard advertising what appears to be a tv show with him in it, showing he was still a Reality TV Star at the time.)

In his next appearance, he and a group of people witness a tattooed skateboarder jump a flight of stairs who challenges his spectators to do the same. Branston abruptly takes the skateboarder up on his challenge, although it doesn't go well as he ends up falling down the stairs and going unconscious. He abruptly wakes up on the way to the hospital with the tattooed skateboarder demanding a rematch; this time wanting to go down a large ramp with large rockets attached to the skateboards.

When he realizes it's a bad idea, he decides to bail, but not before accidentally setting off the rocket which goes flying with another skateboarder on it.

When we see him at his new home; his newly acquired wealth from his career as a reality TV-show host (and from working with Suave Bad Guy) is evident, as he has a bigger home and his very own giant shopping robot, which he sends to Wal-Mart to do his shopping.

He comes back with a new house flipping reality tv show called "Todd Branston Flips Over Your House" where he attempts to (aesthetically) fix the house of two friends named Matt and Sally. He ends up going over budget and doing such a bad job that one of the home owners sends an actual assassin after him, only for the ninja to fail by running into the open fridge door face first and accidentally getting stuck inside of the fridge itself.

His next reality show appearance would see him acting as a judge (and sporting a new spiked up hairdo) for a cooking contest alongside Gordon Ramsey in 'Lego Cooking show' where he ends up ordering pizza instead of eating any of the food from any of the contestants. He later shows up in a new ghost hunting show with his team of "Ghost Assassins" who wind up at the (new) house of Matt and Sally, which Tod blows up as a result of trying to get rid of the ghost.

Later on, Anime Guy visits him wanting advice on how to defeat the guy who stole his pizza. Tod recommends using the power of friendship before he accompanies Anime Guy to provide moral support for his fight with the Anime Villain. Tod appears to have fallen on hard times, as he now lives in a seemingly smaller house with what looks like car parts spread all over the sides of his lawn.

His last on screen appearance is in 'Every Time I go to Chipotle This Happens' where he sports his classic appearance from earlier videos. He hangs out with Hippo at a Chipotle watching Tahu try to order a burrito from Astolfo at the counter.

It is unknown what ever became of Tod, but he might currently be trying to become an E-celebrity or an online influencer. In "Spider-Man Swings into Debt", Tod Branston's name can be seen among the other users in a chat during one of Anime Guy's twitch streams. There, Tod promotes himself by telling people to subscribe to his own channel.

It is unknown if this is actually him, an early prototype of the character, or just a look-alike who uses the same Lego Figure as him. It's also unknown just what video the clip was pulled from.
